How to Configure the Sticky Player

The Sticky Player can play a playlist either from a post or a widget player.

Ways to Trigger the Sticky Player:

1. Auto-play on all pages

Go to wp-admin > MP3 Player > Settings > Sticky Player,
and select the posts containing playlists under the option:
“Select Playlist IDs to play in Sticky Player when site loads.”

2. Play on a specific page

Edit a page or post, and in the sidebar, enable the option:
“Display sticky player when page is loaded. Select playlist”
Then choose a post that has a playlist.

3. Play via a widget player

If a visitor clicks Play on a widget player (and the sticky player is enabled), the tracklist will automatically load into the sticky player.
The sticky player is triggered:

  • either automatically via another method (not from the widget),
  • or when a page includes a widget player with the sticky option enabled.

👉 You can activate this option in the player settings via the Shortcode Player Builder, Elementor, or Gutenberg.

4. Play via “sonaar_ts” shortcode

Use the “sonaar_ts” shortcode to trigger a playlist in the sticky player.

6. Continuous playback with cookies

The sticky player can use cookies to resume playback from where the user left off.
This allows seamless audio playback while browsing the site.
To enable it, go to:
wp-admin > MP3 Player > Settings > Sticky Player > Continuous/Persistent Audio Player

Styling and Content of the Sticky Player

The style and layout of the sticky player are fully configurable at:
wp-admin > MP3 Player > Settings > Sticky Player

The sticky player’s content (track info, artwork, call-to-action buttons, etc.) is generally pulled directly from the selected playlist.
